During your child’s portrait session, I’ll focus on capturing her gorgeous grins, pouty faces and everything in between. When you look back at your photos years from now, I want you to catch a glimpse of your child the way she really was at this stage in life- a reminder of her spirit, her goofiness, her fiery attitude. If she’s a tree climbing fiend, to the trees we go. If she has a favorite collection of fairy wings and magic wands, then a fairy fashion show may be in order.
This is no trip to the dentist – my photo sessions are more play and exploration than anything else. While a very small portion of your photo session may involve getting the whole family together for a family portrait (which, sometimes requires sitting for a minute or two), we’ll keep that part as short and sweet as possible. Bucolic scenes of perfectly behaved children on manicured lawns involve lots of posing, as well as the kind of person who knows how to convince a kid that sitting still for a long time is a good idea. The truth is, I am not that person. That’s just not my style. If you haven’t had a chance, please take a look at my children’s blog and some of my online galleries to make sure I’m the right photographer for you. If you prefer mostly posed photos, you may want to look into some of the many great Bay Area photographers who have a more traditional style.
But if real life, in all its sassy cranky giggly mud-covered glory is what you’re after, I may just be the photographer for you.
